These are the criteria that the judges will be using to rate your hacks at the end. Use these to help develop a sense of what you want to be developing.
How well designed is the hack? Is the user experience good? How buggy does it appear? For this one it's really the details that matter. Make sure that you've thought through the kinks even if you can't solve all of them.
How difficult of a problem does the hack address? How much engineering work went into it? Did you shoot for the moon? Did you end up in the stars?
The most fun part of hacking! This category really boils down to: would you use this again in a week? It doesn't need to be a business but is it actually helpful for anything?
Some details on what is happening at the hackathon. If you have any questions feel free to tweet us at @mcgillhacks
When do you get food? Every 4 hours! We'll have regular announcements to keep you updated on food and drinks. You can also check the schedule to see when the food should arrive. Have you ever had poutine? No? Well trust me, you'll want to try it so make sure you stay attentive.
Of course there are! We've got a list of the APIs that are available and the prizes that are up for each of them. Check out that list over here.
They're over there too. So make sure that you check those out.
We have the tech talk schedule posted up at this link. Make sure you show up to the talks for a chance to win some sweet prizes.
